Aaron Paul Clark December 25, 1953 ~ March 17, 2026
Arron Paul Clark was born December 25, 1953, the tenth of 11 children of Minnie Bell Mross Clark and Jewell Clark in Weiner, AR. He passed away on March 17, 2026.
His family headed out for Nucla, CO when Paul was only six months old. Paul graduated from Nucla High School in 1972. After high school he went to Oklahoma and Texas to find work.
On the night of his bachelor party, Paul and his buddies decided to go streaking through Nucla Main Street and ended up getting arrested. Despite being arrested, Shannon Cline still married him on April 14, 1974.
He worked for Union Carbide from 1974 to 1988. Paul and Shannon moved to Blanding, UT in 1984.
After leaving Union Carbide, he ventured out starting his own business Paul’s Wood and Iron. Master of everything was Paul. He could build and create anything from nothing. Buildings, tanks, furnaces… There was no job that he could not do.
Paul and Shannon moved back to Nucla in 2013, building a home and living on the ranch that they purchased. They used the old Naturita School building as the structure for their beautiful home.
Paul never knew a stranger. He had a poem for everyone and knew everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, and phone numbers. Checking on friends often was something he was good at.
Proceeded in death are his parents Minnie and Jewell Clark, siblings Joann Davis, Finis Barnes, Tiny Burbridge, Bill, Larry, and Ernie.
Paul is survived by his wife Shannon, daughters Heather (Dan) Howell, Laura (John) Jamalkowski, grandchildren DJ (Sierra), Dylan, Denim, Breanna (Justin), Keygan (Miriam), Chloe (Yanger), and Kyler, great grandchildren Paisley, Jaxley, and Waylon, and siblings Maggie Lemons, Janet (Noel) Woods, Bob (Onie), and Bo (Lynn).
Graveside service will be at the Nucla Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11. Following is a celebration of life at the Uravan Ball Park. Side dishes are welcome.
