Chief Manuelito Scholars named
With the opening of the academic year, Chief Manuelito Scholars have started their journey into higher education. The scholarship is the Navajo Nation’s highest academic award
Two Whitehorse High School graduates received the award, including Wachaykeah Rosemarie Martin, who is studying at Utah State University Blanding, and Hughstin Jake Pelt at the University of Utah.
Five graduates from San Juan High School received the Chief Manuelito Scholarship.
They include Kyle Ashtin Begay
and Noah Sean Begay, who will attend
Brigham Young University.
Wyatt Russell Keith
will attend Utah State University Eastern, Kaidence Nathelle Mitchell
will attend the University of Utah, Chylynn Sam
will attend Weber State University.
Another Manuelito Scholar, ShaShia Dugi
of Tuba City High School, will attend Utah State University Blanding.
