Sharla Fay Ream August 1, 1960 ~ May 5, 2025

Sharla passed away in her home in Brigham City, UT on May 5, 2025 surrounded by her family and music.
Born on August 1, 1960 to Sharlet Black and Willam Sheppard, Sharla grew up in Blanding as the oldest of four daughters. She graduated from San Juan High School in 1978.
Sharla had always dreamed of a large family and, after she married the love of her life, Foster Ream, on November 1, 1979 in the Manti, UT Temple.
The two were blessed with nine loving children. Their family has kept growing ever since, and as it has done so, Sharla has welcomed each new person with open arms.
Sharla could always be found making delectable home-cooked meals that were often savored as a beloved part of Sunday dinners and holidays in her home.
Throughout her life, Sharla never lost her thirst for knowledge and was always learning new ways to care for herself and others and knew a great deal about everything.
Sharla was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she tried to emulate Christ in every aspect of her life.
Sharla was often seen in her community, teaching swimming lessons, working at the Heritage Theater in Perry, UT, volunteering her time in numerous church callings, sewing costumes for the high school theater productions, tailoring clothing for loved ones, or serving with her husband Foster in the Brigham City Temple every week.
Sharla showed her love through serving those around her and will be dearly missed by every life she touched.
Sharla is survived by her husband Foster, mother Sharlet, sisters Valerie, Cynthia “Cindy” (Alan), and Paulette, children Lane (Megan), William, Robert (Jodie), Cynthia (Alexander), Lisa (Christopher), Benjamin (Kaylee), Christopher (Rebekah), Jeremy (Cheyenne), Kevin (Janelle), 25 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, along with countless extended Family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father William M. Sheppard and sibling Anthony Warren Sheppard.
Funeral Services were May 10, 2025 in Brigham City, UT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharla’s memory to Heritage Theater, where she spent many years working the box office and sewing costumes for numerous productions (heritagetheatreutah.com/donate).
