Incumbents win June 23 Republican primary

The Republican Party primary election results are in for San Juan County, and the incumbent has claimed victory in all four races and will be the Republican party nominee on the November general election ballot.
Incumbent Congresswoman Celeste Malloy has defeated Challenger Phil Lyman, from Blanding, in the race for Congress, with Malloy gaining 68% of the votes in the district. Lyman won San Juan County votes by a 2/3 margin.
Incumbent Representative Logan Monson earned the Republican spot on the ballot for the Utah House of Representatives, defeating challenger Daniel Gardner by a 62/38 margin. Monson won 83% of the vote in San Juan County.
in the race for San Juan County Commission, incumbent Commissioner Jaime Harvey earned the nod over challenger Amer Tumeh by a 56/44 margin.
Finally, in the race for San Juan County Sheriff, incumbent Lehi Lacy defeated challenger Wyatt Holyoak, also by a 56/44 margin.
The votes of more than 1,200 members of the Republican party in San Juan County have been counted. There are approximately 300 additional ballots that will be counted on June 24. It is unlikely that the uncounted votes will change the outcome of any of the races.
