New season for Blue Mountain Entertainment

Blue Mountain Entertainment announces a remarkable roster of programs for the 2017-2018 season, all performances at the Monticello High School Auditorium.
Beginning the list of entertainers on October 2 will be the Midway Swiss Bell Choir, one of the most popular performance groups at Midway, Utah’s Swiss Days Celebration. The haunting, melodic, and harmonious music of the bells will surely charm attendees.
November 6 will bring the Utah Brass Quintet, a group comprised of music faculty members from Utah Valley University. The Quintet has performed in Utah with the Orchestra at Temple Square, Ballet West, Utah Symphony, and the Utah Festival Chorus. Other venues have been the Boston Pops Orchestra, Boston Symphony, the Seattle and Queensland Symphonies.
It may be hard to believe, but the famous Riders In The Sky, known as America’s Favorite Cowboys, will appear on January 22. This power singing group had its own weekly TV show on TNN and CBS. For more than 30 years, Riders In The Sky has remained true to the integrity of Western music while lending legendary wacky humor and Western wit to its performance. The quartet’s appearance in Monticello is possible only through support from Utah Arts and Museums with funding from the State of Utah, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF).
On March 10 the highly acclaimed BYU Young Ambassadors will performs its colorful and vibrant blend of song and dance for a fast-paced showcase of American musical theatre. Since entering the world stage at Japan’s Expo ’70, the Young Ambassadors has performed in 67 nations of the world. BYU Young Ambassadors invites you to join in a celebration of home with the group’s new musical revue, Welcome Home.
The concluding program on April 23 will be the ever-popular BME Spring Gala, which spotlights Local talent.

Remarkably, BME has kept its season membership prices at the same bargain prices: Families $60, Adults $24, and Students $12. Memberships will provide not only admittance to BME’s programs, but also to those of Kigalia Fine Arts in Blanding whose upcoming programs include Cold Creek Bluegrass Band on September 23; BYU Vocal Point, male a cappella vocal group on November 3; Edge of the Cedars local theatre group performing “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” on December 8, 9, 11; I Love A Piano featuring local pianists on February 12; and Young Artists in Concert (local youth performers) on May 7.
