New BLM field office manager
Thomas A. Heinlein is the new Monticello Field Office Manager for the Bureau of Land Management. Thomas comes to Monticello from Nome, Alaska, where he served as Superintendent of the Bering Land Bridge National Monument. Other positions he has held include Assistant Superintendent and Chief of Natural and Cultural Resources of the Western Arctic National Parkland, and a Research Fire Ecologist at Northern Arizona University. Thomas has a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Resource Management from the University of Montana and a Master’s Degree in Forest Ecology from Northern Arizona University.
