New mural in Montezuma Creek

A new mural is up on a water tank in Montezuma Creek. Utah Navajo Health System Public Relations Specialist Pete Sands had the idea to create the mural for the clinic in Montezuma Creek. Sands contacted Daniel Josley, a well-known mural artist on the Navajo Reservation, and brought him in to create the mural. The Horned Toad coming out of the ground represents a rebirth after the pandemic ravaged the Navajo Nation – a new beginning as residents move forward. The mural is located on the water tank behind the EMS building. It can be clearly seen from the road because of its massive size. The mural is the first in a series Utah Navajo Health System will be creating. Courtesy photo
