MHS drama excells at State
On April 17, 20 students from Monticello High School traveled to Nephi, UT to participated in the State Drama Festival.
From the one act play category, Heather Holyoak was named the best character actress in the state.
Six additional students placed in the top four in the state and qualified for a superior medal. They are Joseph Weatherford for a dramatic monoact, Joelyn Palmer for a humorous monoact, Hannah Boyle, Martha Beh, Holly Fellmeth and Clarissa Jack for scenes.
Also receiving Superior medals are Ally Anderson, Robin Randall, Darcy Dalton and Calvin Hazleton for scenes, Janalee Weatherford for pantomime, and Risha Price for dramatic monoact.
Excellent rating go to Sean Killary for pantomime, Alauna Erickson and David Boyle for dramatic monoact and Wyatt Holyoak for humorous monoact . This is the last year that the meet will be held in Nephi, as Juab High School will become a 3A school next year. Students will travel to Parowan.
