Quilt Show is July 4
Grayson Country Quilters has been dedicated to maintaining the art of quilting and serving the community for over 30 years.
Each July 4th, they sponsor a quilt show with free admission. This year, the Quilt Show will be held July 4th following the parade until 4 pm at Blanding Elementary School.
The Quilt Guild traditionally makes and raffles two quilts for the occasion. Proceeds from the raffle fund materials for charitable acts.
Ongoing charitable projects include Quilts for Cancer, providing a quilt to Blanding community members diagnosed with cancer, quilts and blankets for newborns in the county, items for the Women’s Shelter and child protective services, sensory quilts and stuffed animals for Utah’s School for the Deaf and Blind, quilts of Valor for families of fallen
military personnel, and emergency quilts for victims of fire.
Tickets may be purchased at Redd’s ACE Hardware on June 29 and 30 from 10 am to 4 pm, and at Clark’s Market on July 1 and 2. Tickets may also be purchased through Venmo, @Debra-Christiansen. Ticket prices are $3 per ticket or 3 for $5.
Grayson Country Quilters appreciates the years of support from the communities in San Juan County and look forward to many more years of service through quilting.
