Don’t miss Horizon

The first full-screen old-fashioned western movie in decades was released in recent days and the main star – in a movie full of stars – is the spectacular landscape of the Redrock Country.
Simply put: residents of the area have got to see Horizon… and on the big screen if at all possible.
Featuring the incredible settings in southern Utah, Horizon: Chapter One is the first of four full-length movies telling an epic story of the settling of the Old West.
Kevin Costner is the main force behind the series, starring as an actor, director and producer.
It is a gorgeous movie with lots of familiar places and familiar faces, including movie stars Kevin Costner, Luke Wilson, Sienna Miller, and more.
More than 300 Utah residents were involved in the production, including local residents Steven Redd, Lyndell Chee, Amber Knowles Neisen, Brian Boyd, and many, many more.
Two members of the San Juan Record family are involved, including Redrock92 salesman Rocky Brougham (who is in two scenes). Lane Palmer, our sports broadcast partner with PictureitPalmer, is a production assistant.
As you may gues, Chapter One is just a start. Chapter 2 will be released in August and there are two more movies to be shot. Shooting of Chapter 3 is set to begin soon.
Horizon is a huge endeavor, a broad Horizon so to speak, with approximately a dozen or more storylines that are destined to come together over the next few movies.
The story is so broad in scope and ambition that Chapter One feels like just an appetizer for a detailed, dense and delectible feast.
Be forewarned, the movie earns its R rating, primarily because of violence.
