“It’s a Wonderful Life” this week

The classic heartwarming story of George Bailey is brought to life this week as the Monticello High School drama department presents “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

The two-act play will begin at 7:30 p.m. November 20-22 at the high school auditorium.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is based on the film by Frank Capra.  The timeless holiday story is a powerful lesson on the value of a human life.

“Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives, and when he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”

The play stars Tate Ramsay as George Bailey and Hyrum Johnson as Clarence Oddbody.

Other leads in the play include Madison Freestone as Mary Bailey and Carson Wells as Henry F. Potter.

Other members of the cast include Dawson Atwood, Jacob Johnson, Logan Nielson, Alexa Peterson, and Barbara Abernathy.

You’ll also see Adri Lewis, Joe Boyle, Clayton Young, Paul Reay, Taw Robinson, and Mary Peterson on stage.

Kennedy Brewer, Jaxson Wells, Halle Morrison, Janette Halls, Parker Nielson, and Aimee Crowley are also in the cast.

Rounding out the 31 student cast members are Lydia Pettit, Buddy Morrison, Michael Peterson, Jalen Bradford, Jacob Johnson, Sophie Morrison, Hannah Crowley, Kamron Yoakam, Lily Long, and Joshua Dilts.

Members of the stage and tech crew are Garrett Henderson, Brighton Torgerson, Xochie Hollingsworth, Alissa Black, Giovana Alba, and Kylee Davis.
