Joe B. Lyman

A heritage in San Juan County runs deep for Joe B. Lyman.
According to Lyman, you could say he was born to Pacheco and born for Hole-in-the-Rock. It is this long history and deep heritage that had given Lyman a desire to serve the people of Blanding.
Lyman has previously served as a Blanding City Councilman giving him experience in city government and working with other council members.
Lyman said in his three and a half years on the council he has appreciated “a lot of honest debate and statesmanship with very little politics.”
Lyman counts his willingness to listen and hear all sides of an issue as one of his strengths. He states that not only does he strive to listen, but to understand each side before making an informed decision.
When it comes to government and making decisions for the City of Blanding, Lyman states, “I believe principle and integrity should trump politics.”
