Sterling Scholar Runner-up- Thaddaeus Smith - San Juan - Skilled & Technical Science Education

The runner-up of the Skilled and Technical Science category is ambitious and hardworking. He loves his CTSOs including SkillsUSA, FFA, FBLA and HOSA and has been a SkillsUSA state officer for 2 years. His goal is to support and help his community, learn new skills everyday and continue refining his hobbies. He enjoys classic cars and photography and aspires to be a Firefighter and EMT. This sterling scholar has been part of the Blanding Fire department for 1 year, participated in 2 major wildland fires, and survived a fire tornado. The runner-up for skilled and technical sciences is the son of Kimberly and James Redd, from San Juan High School, Thaddaeus Smith.
