Academic All State 2026 Spring: Jackson Keyes Monticello Baseball and Golf

Head Baseball Coach Josh Keyes: “Jackson’s Academic All-State recognition in 2A baseball and 1A boys golf this spring represents a far more significant achievement than any athletic accomplishment.  All athletes from San Juan County know the grind of travel, traversing the state back and forth competing, often spending entire days on the bus to reach a destination for a two-hour event.
“Many D-1 collegiate athletes across the country don’t travel a fraction of what our students experience year after year. For Jackson to maintain academic excellence while competing in four sports over four years is a credit to his perseverance, discipline, and work ethic. Along with his teammates, he was expected to take initiative and ownership regarding his education, and do so while excelling in his craft.
“This honor, this particular accolade, says more about his character and mindset and willingness to represent his school, his community, his teammates, and his family in the highest regard. Jackson is going to continue his education at Utah State University where he plans on pursuing a degree in sports journalism.”
