Monticello High School Theatre to present ‘Sense and Sensibility’

Jane Austen’s timeless novel ‘Sense and Sensibility’ has been adapted as a play by the Monticello High School Theatre Department and will run Nov. 28-30 at 7 p.m. each evening. Tickets for the play are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and $2 for preschoolers.
The play is directed by Liesel Johnson, who is in her second year as Drama Director at the high school. This will be the third play Johnson has produced as the new director.
Flowers will be available for purchase to present to the cast and crew prior to or following their performance as well as refreshments at intermission. Come out and support our local actors and their new director in this production at Monticello High School.
“I have some really talented actors, and I’m really excited for them to be able to show what they can do,” Johnson said of the 26-member cast. “I’ve had a lot of help with costumes and fundraising and help from teachers at the school for sets. I really want to give the credit where the credit is due.”
Johnson added that the students have worked hard and come a long way.
