Devin Gosney

Devin Gosney is the new Assistant Principal at Whitehorse High School. He transferred from ARL and has worked for the district since 2008, when he moved to Monument Valley to teach social studies. He was also the assistant principal there for several years.

“I am really excited to work with Mrs. Schaefer and the whole staff at Whitehorse; there is a positive and respectful atmosphere here,” he says.

Gosney’s main goal is to ensure all students feel like they have a voice and are heard. He says, “One way I help kids with this is implementing restorative practices. Restorative practices focus on building relationships, working with students to own their actions, and restoring relationships when they are damaged.”

Gosney and his wife are the parents of four children ranging in age from three to twelve. Before education, Gosney worked in the financial industry.
