Kilo, San Juan County’s hardest-working drug dog, shows some the drugs he helped find after a Highway Patrolman stopped a 2003 Dodge truck for speeding on February 14 between Blanding and Monticello. During the stop, Kilo indicated to the presence of illegal drugs, which were located in a natural void in the firewall of the Dodge pickup. The stash included seven pounds of heroin, with a street value of $250,000, and one pound of methamphetamine. Courtesy photo
