David Johnson

David Johnson raised in Blanding, married a Blanding girl and raised his family of five here giving him great ties to the community and the county.
Johnson feels everyone should take the opportunity to serve in their communities and counties and feels that now it’s his time to give something back to the community that has given so much to him.
Johnson is the owner/operator of Northern Electric which has been in business since 1952. Service to the youth has always been important to Johnson who has spent many years coaching in youth programs in addition to several years of service on the recreation board and service in clergy situations.
Johnson has served three years as a councilman and feels that he now has an understanding of the process and needs of the city and can continue as an effective councilman. He states that he has no political agenda, is willing to listen, and has been proud to be a part of a team that works well together on the council, even when opinions have differed, and hopes to continue and see through projects they have started.
Johnson feels that building economic opportunities is important so young people who want to return to Blanding have opportunities to do so.
One of the biggest issues for Johnson is more cooperation in the communities to “do what is necessary to get along better politically” and work together for the future of the county.
