County considers CIB priorities

With a public hearing on october 8, San Juan County is beginning the process of identifying priorities for community Impact Board (CIB) funding for the coming year.

The state CIB funds a variety of projects every year. Eventually, the county and other local government organizations, including the cities of Monticello and Blanding, will determine the priorities for the funds.

Projects the county is considering include the Clay Wash Reservoir project, expansion of San Juan County jail, fire equipment purchases, the third phase of the Lisbon Valley road project, fairgrounds expansion and a trail system in Monument Valley.

Projects in Bluff include a wastewater facility, storm water drainage, secondary water facility, parks and rec facility, and swinging bridge restoration.

Spanish Valley is considering a sewer plant.
