Aria is an “A” type personality, crown princess, and chip off the old block - the King, regal and commanding. Perfection is not only expected by demanded. However, Aria is not yet tainted by mistakes that she can’t fix, unlike her father. Her kindness and sincere hopes and dreams for a peaceful kingdom cause her to trust the traditionally untrusted, sometimes culminating in disaster, sometimes to her redemption. Her journey teaches her that no one is perfect and mistakes not admitted cannot be rectified.
You will enjoy this magical adventure. Lowham is great at character development and there is no shortage of characters. You can care about or despise each one as you wish because the author paints them beautifully within 377 pages. Aria and Baron, her hero, help us remember the importance of loyalty, family and duty, all while navigating those inevitable situations in life we had no hand in creating.
