Friday Night at the Fort in Bluff

The Bluff Fort Historic Site is pleased to announce their exciting 2026 series of performers for Friday Night at the Fort. All events are free to the public and ice cream will be served after performances.
Starting in May and continuing through August, the Friday Night at the Fort series will be as follows:
• May 8: The Whitehorse High School band from Montezuma Creek will perform a patriotic themed program of symphony band music to honor the 250 anniversary of America.
The band is made up of 53 students and is under the direction of Timothy Harrison, who has taught at Whitehorse High School for nine years.
• May 15: A 40-minute Bear Dance will be performed under the direction of Jack D. Cantsee Jr, Ute Mountain Bear Dance Chief  from White Mesa. Bluff Fort is respectfully and graciously looking forward to this performance.
• May 29: The Grayson Girls will return to Bluff Fort to perform a variety of well-loved musical favorites.
• June 26: Donny Johnson, from Cortez, CO, will entertain with his musical talent. He said he has “a lot of heroes, such as Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, and John Prine and the list goes on.”
Bluff Fort is looking forward to his entertaining performance of country, folk, storytelling, and maybe a couple of Christian tunes.
• July 10: Back by popular demand, Bluff Fort is beyond excited to have Denver and Kristen Smith entertain.
• July 31: Patricia Kudzia, a gifted cellist, and Russell Pincock, a talented singer and pianist, have graciously accepted our invitation to perform.
• August 24: Bluff Fort whole-heartedly welcomes Cara Tomco’s return to entertain the community. She is a singer/songwriter who grew up among the red rocks and vast mesas of San Juan County. Cara’s music echoes her experiences in the wild landscapes she has spent her life exploring.
• August 29: Once again, Bluff Fort is happy to announce the San Juan Men’s Chorus will sing their hearts out for everyone in Bluff.
If anyone is interested in performing, a couple of spots are still open. Please call Bluff Fort at 435-672-9995.
