Resignation on Blanding City Council

Blanding City Council will be appointing a new member to their council following the resignation of councilmember Kd Perkins.
Perkins said, “It was an honor to serve the community of Blanding for the last several years.”
City Council will appoint a replacement at their May 24 meeting. The appointed city council member will serve through the first Monday of January 2024.
Interested citizens can apply for an appointment to the council through Monday, May 23 at 5:30 pm. 
Candidates must be legal residents of Blanding City for 12 consecutive months and must be a registered voter of Blanding City. Additional eligibility and residency requirements and information can be found on page B5 or by visiting Blanding City offices.
Each applicant who meets the statutory qualifications for office will be interviewed in the open meeting regarding their qualifications.
