Arvagene Amelia Pearson Bailey loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and aunt returned home to her Father in Heaven on Friday August 24, 2007 surrounded by her loved ones.
Arvagene was born April 9, 1917 in Finley, Oklahoma to David Bradley Pearson and Lola Violet Byrum. She had three brothers, R.L., William (Bill) and David (Bunk), and one sister, Hazel. Their family moved from Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas, later settling in the Monticello area.
She married Wallace Ren Bailey on August 1, 1934. They remained married for almost 63 years when she was preceded in death by him. Together they had three sons.
She loved being surrounded by her family especially during deer season when all of her sons and their families would come to hunt with their Dad.
Her home always smelled of her delicious cooking and the warmth of her wood stove was always a welcome comfort.
She is survived by her three sons, Pete (Vivian), Mike (Julie), Stan, one brother William (Bill), 12 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday August 28, 2007 in the Monticello North LDS Chapel. Interment at the Monticello Cemetery.
