Trevor Olsen

Blanding City Council
My name is Trevor Olsen and I am running for Blanding City Council. I was born and raised here in Blanding and graduated from the San Juan High School.
After high school I served a mission for the LDS church in the Texas, Dallas Mission.
Upon returning from Texas I completed my associate degree from the College of Eastern Utah, Blanding Campus before moving to Provo to continue my education at Utah Valley University earning a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
While in Provo, I worked for the Utah Division of Juvenile Justice Services as well as the Utah State Juvenile Courts.
While working for the State of Utah, I had the opportunity to continue my education and earned a Masters Degree in Educational Counseling as well as a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.
My education has allowed me to bring my family back to Blanding where I am currently working for the San Juan School District as Assistant Principal at San Juan High School.
Why do I want to run for Blanding City Council? I want to contribute to the many projects that will continue to make Blanding one of the greatest towns to live and visit.
I believe the role of government is small, yet very important to our community. I believe in keeping taxes as low as possible.
Our city council has been working to improve city water conservation and recreational opportunities. I want to help our community continue progress in these areas as we plan for the future.
As a member of this community I value the many hard working city employees and volunteers that give countless hours to make Blanding a wonderful place.
I love this community and would be grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Blanding City Council.
Thank you.
