For the first time in ten seasons the Whitehorse High School football team has earned two straight wins to open the year.
After their 30-18 victory over St. Joseph in Ogden this past Friday, September 5 the Raiders are the only remaining team with an undefeated record in Utah eight-player football.
The Whitehorse defense held the Jayhawks to 267 yards of total offense in the win and got two takeaways on a St. Joseph fumble and interception.
It was a solid win for the Raiders who were beaten by the Jayhawks last season 41-8.
In the season opener Whitehorse downed Utah Military Academy Camp Williams 52-26 on the WHS football field in Montezuma Creek.
This week the Raiders return home to host Utah Military Academy Hill Field. Whitehorse dominated this matchup last season, but the Thunderbirds are 3-1 to start this season with lopsided wins over Monument Valley and Panguitch in the past couple weeks.
