Head Coach Josh Keyes: “Seth Taylor is one of the smartest student-athletes I have ever coached. He understands our team concepts and strategies and has an innate ability to see the bigger picture – something that can be difficult for many athletes at age 18. Seth applies this intelligence in the classroom as well, and his academic accomplishments are well documented.
“In addition to his intellect, Seth’s tenacity on the court played a significant role in our team’s success this season. His relentless effort and competitive mindset pushed his teammates to improve and consistently gave opponents trouble. Seth not only recognized the right moments to step in and take a charge in the lane, but he also had the fortitude to follow through and absorb the contact.
“It is this combination of understanding situations and capitalizing on that knowledge that will guide Seth toward continued success. It has been an honor to watch him grow as a basketball player, a student, and a person. I am personally excited to see what the future holds, and will await his continued formidable contributions to a populace that is lucky enough to have Seth Taylor.”
