Sanford Randall

Monticello City Council
I was born and raised in Monticello. I graduated from Monticello High School, then went on to serve an LDS mission in Japan.
After my mission, I worked for a plumbing contractor that sent me to California to work. The time I spent in California made me want to return to the small-town life I knew in Monticello. I didn’t like all the regulations of big city life.
I was able to move back to Monticello, and my wife Laurie and I have raised our four children here.
I have worked with the public in law enforcement for the last 26 years, and my wife has taught at Monticello Elementary School for 24 years.
These two perspectives give me a unique view to problems and issues that are present in our community.
My children have all left home, but I know that they would love to return to Monticello. The big roadblock for them is the lack of jobs in our small town.
This is part of the reason why I am running for city council. I believe that we need to encourage growth, but yet keep the small town feeling in our community.
I don’t have a particular ax to grind, but all of my decisions would be based on what I feel is best for Monticello, and its citizens in general. I would appreciate your vote!
