Wesley Reinhard Tanner

Wesley Reinhard Tanner
February 3, 1940 – May 24, 2022
Wesley Reinhard Tanner, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home in Pleasant Grove, UT. He was born February 3, 1940, in Provo, Utah, to Reinhard Maeser Tanner and Muriel Ferris Tanner.
Brought up in Provo, he also lived many years in Cleveland and Monticello, UT. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wes was a friendly guy who loves to talk. He would run the length of a shopping mall to catch up with someone he thought he recognized. He always had a story to tell.
After a stroke years ago silenced his stories, he still had a sparkle in his eyes and a ready smile.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling. His family was always involved in his favorite activities—vacation trips, boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles and four-wheelers in the deserts and mountains of Emery County.
In his later years, he endured multiple health challenges with patience and perseverance.
Wes is survived by his wife, Myrle Fillmore Tanner, and children Michele Gandy, Chantel (Kenneth) Brown, Nicole (Russell) Strong, Rick Thompson, Pamela (Greg) Perry, Susan Thompson, and Todd (Melanie) Thompson, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed.
Graveside services were June 3, 2022, in Provo, UT. Arrangements entrusted to Berg Mortuary of Provo.
