Sherrel Buddy Walker December 30, 1933 ~ August 20, 2024

Sherrel Buddy Walker (Bud,) Age 90, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, neighbor and friend. The rock of our family passed away at his home August 20th, 2024 with his wife and family by his side.
He was born on December 30th, 1933 in Red Mesa, CO. Bud was known for his infamous wit, humor and hugs. He loved travel, RVing, family trips to the lake and mountains, going on cruises and maintaining a beautiful yard and home.
He began driving trucks at the age of 14 and retired from professional driving after over 3 million accident-free miles. Bud was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He and his wife served 2 missions and served in the Albuquerque temple. His family was sealed together at the Salt Lake temple in 1971. He loved his country and was proud of his service with the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Helen Black of 71 years, brother Jerry Walker (Tracy), daughters Shyrlee Rogers, Colleen Foard (Steven Foard), Connie Johnson, Annette Owen and Tammy Walker (Rocky Walker), 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Lorenzo Walker and mother Annetta (Netty) Walker, brothers Riley and Dale Walker, sisters Verda Gallager, Belva Nielson, Arlea Washburn, Elouise Herron, Jeanette Christensen, Lynda Bean.
Visitation to be held on Wednesday, August 28th from 6pm-8pm. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd NW Albuquerque, NM 87114.
His funeral was held on Thursday, August 29 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 4500 7 Bar Loop NW Albuquerque, NM 87114.
Burial was on Friday, August 30 in the Blanding City Cemetery 4550 N US 191 Blanding, UT 84511.
