Shela Bailey Jones March 5, 1959 – February 25, 2022

Shela, “She” Jones, age 62, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Michael Jones, daughters Heather Jones, Amber Bame, Sage Black, and Jade Jones, parents Lawrence and Geraldene “Larry and Johnni” Bailey, and siblings Mitchell Bailey and Lora Bailey Oldenburg.
Shela was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to six beautiful grandkids, and a cherished friend to many.
Her talents were endless, she was an extremely accomplished musician who taught voice and piano lessons for many years and served as a member of the Nevada Music Teachers Association and certified judge for the Spring Music Festival each year.
She lived a life of dedicated service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, under many leadership roles and responsibilities.
She enjoyed playing with her grandkids, cooking amazing meals, and orchestrating family and church gatherings. She also loved riding bikes with her “girls”, and her favorite pastime of horseback riding with family and close friends, while welcoming any stranger who wanted to join them.
Shela’s life was one of selflessness, inclusion, service, and purity of heart, shown in her outgoing character and ever-optimistic nature. She entertained family and friends with such grace and ease, humbly expecting nothing in return.
She was a true example of a life lived close to Christ and effortlessly touched the lives of those she crossed paths with. She will be forever remembered and missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
