Robert Curtis Holden

October 17, 1951 ~ October 19, 2009

Robert Curtis Holden was born October 17, 1951 to Robert Asa and Zola Bronson Holden in Monticello, UT. He passed away October 19, 2009 from complications of diabetes.

Curtis was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, motorcycling, scuba diving, snow and water sports, cutting firewood, and exploring beautiful San Juan County. He was blessed with many natural talents including photography, wood working, and teaching. His children are grateful for the many memories and time they got to spend with their Dad doing these things that he loved.

Curtis served missions for the LDS Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina and later in White Mesa, Utah. He had a true love for the Native American people and their culture.

After finishing his education at Brigham Young University, Curtis worked hard to get home to San Juan County. Although he loved to explore many different places, he was never able to relax until he was home in San Juan County.

Curtis is survived by his children; Aundrea (Kelly) Kalauli, Melanie (Riley) Risto, Jesse Holden, and Rachel Holden; eight grandchildren; Logan, Maikalani, Nalani, and Bronson Kalauli; Macy, Spencer, Hannah, and Sarah Risto, sisters Marian Rockwood and Ann Reece.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Robert Fletcher Holden.
