R. “Kip” Smith

September 27, 1942 ~ October 18, 2017
R. ‘Kip’ Smith passed away surrounded by family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was a mechanic by trade for Union Oil Company of California and returned to school to become a top-notch Radiologic Tech.
Kip was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He loved woodcarving, drawing, gardening, airplanes, arrowhead hunting, reading, and eating.  He was always the comedian.
Kip is preceded in death by his beloved parents Clifford ‘Kip’ Smith, Josephine ‘Jo’ Smith; his only sibling Richard ‘Dick’ Smith; and his youngest son Matthew Kip Smith (Matt).
Survivors include his wife Susan; his daughter Shelli Schenk of Payson, UT; his sons Clint Smith of Idaho Falls, ID and Ryan Smith of Monticello, UT; his stepchildren Patrick Coons, Janelle Blake, Tanya Coons, Valerie Boggs; and 24 grandchildren.
Graveyard services will be held on Saturday, November 4 in Monticello, UT at 10 a.m.
