Paula Jean Adams Jones
December 11, 1925 ~ December 1, 2011
Paula Jean Adams Jones passed away peacefully on December 1, 2011 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
She was born on December 11, 1925 to Lloyd and Althea (Allie) Adams.
She was the beloved wife of the late Curtis W. Jones for 57 years.
Paula will forever be remembered by her dear sisters, Donna Washburn and Virginia Redd, beloved children, Brent (Barbara) Jones, Marcia (Bruce) Cameron, Val (Sunny) Jones, Janis (Kevin) Rust, and Mark (Carlie) Jones, and 27 treasured grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She had countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Calvin Lloyd Adams and Milton J. Adams; and her husband Curtis W. Jones.
Paula went to school in Blanding, UT and graduated from San Juan High School. She also graduated from the University of Utah in Home Economics. She used those skills to efficiently run her home.
Paula loved to read, work crossword puzzles, cook, sew, crochet and garden. She had a passion for hand-making pieced quilts. She made over 70 beautiful quilts that she gave to others.
She served faithfully in the LDS Church throughout her life. She especially loved to work on name extractions and serve in the temple.
Paula touched the lives of many people with her smile, her unselfishness, her devotion to her family and her willingness to serve others.
There will be a viewing preceding the funeral at the San Juan Mortuary on December 9, 2011 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, December 9, 2011 at noon at the North LDS Chapel in Blanding.
