Callie Jo Beeson December 16, 1951 ~ March 1, 2025
Callie Jo Beeson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted advocate for others, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025. She was born on December 16, 1951 in Farmington, NM to Wanda May Foutz and Cal Woodruff Foutz.
Callie married the love of her life, Wayne Frank Beeson, on February 14, 1974, and were sealed together for eternity in the Manti, Utah temple. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion. For 51 years, Wayne was her unwavering rock, caring for her daily with love and respect.
Callie was known for her sharp wit, strong-will, intelligence, generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness. Callie’s impact extended far beyond her family. Throughout the years, she made a lasting difference in the communities where she lived. Callie taught dance classes in Moab, UT When they moved to Rexburg, ID Callie opened her home to teach children preschool for many years and then later served as the Director of a corporate childcare center. Also, while living in Rexburg, ID, Callie was a case worker for the Women’s Crisis Center helping women in need of a safe place to stay. With a heart for service, Callie started the Volunteers of America Teen Homeless Outreach Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as delivering meals and supplies to those in need out in the homeless camps. Her dedication to helping others also led her to work at a California State Prison, where she taught parenting classes and provided resources to inmates. She later worked for Child Protective Services in Susanville, California, always advocating for those who needed a voice.
Callie loved making a difference in people’s lives, and the individuals she served and worked with adored her. She had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and loved, leaving a lasting imprint on countless hearts.
Above all, Callie’s greatest joy was her family. She adored her children and grandchildren and was always so proud of their accomplishments. She loved spending time with them, whether it was taking them to lunch, getting pedicures, crafting together, enjoying the holidays with them or cheering them on at their recitals and sporting events whenever she could. She created countless memories with them, leaving them feeling cherished and loved.
Despite her ailments, Callie remained grateful for all she was blessed with and never lost her positive attitude. No matter the challenge, she reassured those around her with her signature saying, "It’s fine, I’m fine, Everything’s fine." Her strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Callie is survived by her loving husband Wayne, her sister Julie (Randy), brother JC (Claudette), her children Marcus (Natalie), Amberly (Russell) and Kyle. Callie was a proud grandmother to James (Brittany), Jaxon (Madi), Trinity, Brynn, Avery, Kason, Wyatt, Harper, and Max. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Evelyn and Willow.
Callie was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda and Cal Foutz; her sister, Susan Foutz; and her beloved in-laws, Maureen and Frank Beeson, along with several cherished family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is in heaven, having a joyous reunion with those who passed before her.
Callie’s legacy of kindness, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
A graveside service to remember Callie’s impactful life will be determined later. Just know that if Callie knew you, she loved you like one of her own.
