Bruce A Black July 6, 1936 ~ September 23, 2022

Bruce A. Black died at home on September 23, 2022 in St. George, UT after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers Disease and bladder cancer.
Bruce was the father to seven children with his first wife, Carolyn Palmer, and seven with his wife Kay Stewart. Sadly, he was preceded in death by three children.
He was loved and admired by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Bruce served in the army in South Korea (1955-57) and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission (1957-59).
He was active in the scouting program throughout his life, receiving the Silver Beaver award and helping to propel many young men, including four of his sons, to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Weber State in Police Science and devoted himself to that field from 1960 to 1998.
Bruce was an intelligent, spiritual, and kindhearted man. He is loved deeply by his wife, children, and many grand, and great-grand children.
It was a privilege to have been part of the life of this extraordinarily kind and gentle man.
