Betty Jo (Fuller) Rhodes

February 19, 1925 ~ April 3, 2010
Betty Jo (Fuller) Rhodes passed away April 3, 2010 from complications brought upon by a stroke. She was living in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the time.
Jo was born in Cheyenne, WY on February 19, 1925 to Ralph Hall and Nell Bly (Morton) Fuller and grew up in Ogden, UT where she attended Lincoln Elementary, Mound Fort Junior High and Ogden High. In high school she was in the Gamma Iota Sorority. When her sorority had their turn hosting a barn dance, she met a boy named Robert McEntire Rhodes, whom she married in 1944 in Alameda, CA.
She joined the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1962. She and Robert were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1972.
In 1977, they bought the Wayside Inn in Monticello, UT and worked hard to make it a Best Western, which it still is today.
They were married for 56 years before Robert passed away in 2001.
Jo is survived by her daughter Vicki Dene (Donald) Green, son Robert Fuller (Charlene) Rhodes, and son Richard Scott (Lorena) Rhodes; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her first greatest joy in her life.
Viewing was held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Monticello North Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the funeral following at noon.
Interment is at the Monticello Cemetery.
