Alfred Lee Young

July 20, 1920 ~ December 26, 2011
Alfred Lee Young was born July 20, 1920 in Longdale, OK to Israel and Bertha Young, the oldest of nine children.
He married his sweetheart, Audrey, on October 25, 1941 in Reno, NV. They later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Three children were born to their union: Al, Jr., Ken and Mark.
On December 26, 2011 at the age of 91, a loving Heavenly Father took him back home.
He is survived by his sweetheart, three sons, 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. One great-grandchild, Jeremiah, preceded him in death.
He also has two sisters and two brothers still living.
In 1992 Al and Audrey moved to Blanding to live near their son, Al, Jr. They were dearly loved by the people in Blanding who knew them.
When the Monticello Utah Temple was dedicated, they were called to be temple workers and served there for the next four years.
They made many new friends and loved that experience. They had served in the Manti Temple for three years before moving to Blanding.
Al was a practical joker, a handyman, a friend, a compassionate helper and a loveable guy all the way around. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
