Mr. San Juan Pageant a huge success

by David Webb

The first of the Homecoming activities at San Juan High School, Mr. San Juan (hosted by San Juan High FBLA) was a huge success. Those in attendance enjoyed a marvelous evening of spectacular entertainment. Many said this pageant was one of the best. There were a wide variety of contestants and talents.

Contestants included Drew Nielson, Daniel Noirot, Greg Moses, Dallas Hall, David Webb, Christopher Capitan, Pratt Redd, and Dillon Seely. As far as talents go, there was a great display, as well as a wide variety shown.

Drew showed off his Bronco wrestling pride as Bronco Libre. Daniel displayed a variety of talents with guitar and a rendition of “Rindercella.”

Greg mixed musical guitar talents and humor into one great performance about Pacobel. Dallas expressed great humor through a self written humorous monologue that featured many individuals.

David surprised many with his talents such as singing, saxophone playing, juggling, and dancing (including moon walking). Christopher showed off his skills of drumming on his trap set.

Pratt hosted his late night talk show, with guest speakers. Dillon showed off his self made pipe instrument as one of the Blue Man Group.

FBLA donated all the proceedings of this event to those three families who lost a loved one in that tragic plane accident, namely the families of Kim Acton, Eric Johnson, and Brian Bayles.

FBLA gives special thanks to Coach Lee for being MC, Jeannie Kirk and the Royal for donating their talents for a wonderful dance, and to judges: Chas Dewitt, Alyn Mitchell, Jake Finlinson, and Debbie Christianson. Also a special thanks to everyone else that made this event successful.
