Logan Boyd

Hi, my name is Logan Boyd and I am running for San Juan County Assessor. I was raised in Monticello and I have loved being able to raise my daughter here for the last six years.
I currently work in real estate as a certified Real Estate Agent and run a business in online sales. I recently got married and my wife and I would love to stay in Monticello to raise our five kids.
We love the sense of community and all the great outdoor recreation that we can enjoy here in San Juan County.
I graduated in 2004 from Monticello High School then served a mission in the Florida Tampa Mission serving the people of Haiti speaking Haitian Creole.
I returned to attend the University of Utah, graduating with two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Business Management and the other in Human Development.
After graduating, I took a job with UDOT at the Port of Entry in Monticello and worked my way up to a Special Agent with the USDOT. I then decided to pursue my passion in Real Estate and Investments.
As a realtor, I constantly assess the value of houses for my clients and I work daily with the tax assessments of properties.
I also have years of experience working in both state and federal government, specifically in the areas of compliance; technology; formal reporting; and government policies, regulations, and codes.
Years as an investigator have taught me how to thoroughly research and evaluate the items I was looking into to make sure I obtained the most accurate picture, even if that info wasn’t easy to obtain.
The County Assessor requires government certificates and years of training to be certified to complete the role.
I have successfully completed, at the top of my class, a Federal Academy, State Certificates, and a Train the Trainer course to be able to teach the upcoming students and held those certificates for years.
All of this combined knowledge and experience makes me the most qualified candidate to serve as your County Assessor.
We need someone as County Assessor who has a background in real estate property values and tax evaluations.
I love the real estate field and I want to do my part to add value to my home community of San Juan County. I love San Juan County and want to be a part of its success.
My experience in real estate as well as my time working for the government can help me bring many new and exciting prospects to San Juan County for many years to come, serving during the most productive years of my life.
I ask and thank you for your support in the upcoming Republican primary election. Ballots should have already been mailed out and you have until June 30 to return them by mail.
Thank you, and I look forward to serving you.
