At the annual convention, held in Salt Lake City during the first week of December, Jim Keyes of Monticello was elected as vice president for the Utah Cattlemen’s Association.
The UCA represents over 5,000 cattle ranches, feedlots, and other beef operations within the state producing 400,000 head of cattle annually.
Officers of the UCA are also members of the Utah Beef Council that oversees the development and marketing of beef products for consumer use.
Keyes joins the ranks of Al Scorup and Heidi Redd who have served as officers in the state cattlemen’s association from San Juan County.
