The Unforgivable reviewed

Every once in a while, you stumble onto a good one. With so many streaming services and choices, it usually takes longer to decide on something to watch than it takes to watch the actual program.
I admit, the leading lady had a lot to do with choosing The Unforgivable on Netflix. Sandra Bullock stars in this two-hour drama/thriller. It’s rated R for language and violence.
The cognitive and emotional toll the story takes on you makes you realize gritty real life can in fact be rated R.
I found myself relating to each and every character. If put in their place, would I act the same, the opposite, or somewhere between?
Bullock’s character, Ruth Slater, is an ex-convict, labeled a “cop killer.” Her only goal is to reach her estranged sister, a child when Slater went to prison 20 years prior. She’s now grown but with no knowledge or memory of her sister.
I highly recommend this movie for adults who wish to think and feel while enjoying a thrilling reveal at the end. You will enjoy the tremendous talent of Bullock as well as many other familiar actors.
