Backcountry Santa

Approximately 50 Backcountry Santa pilots delivered 500 boxes of gifts, food, supplies and more to poor and needy kids and the elderly across the south end of San Juan County on December 18.

The deliveries extended into the Navajo Reservation and as far south as the Hopi people in Polacc, AZ. About one third of the boxes were flown directly from Salt Lake City.

The others were delivered by truck to Monument Valley where pilots flew loads out to Navajo Mountain, Montezuma Creek, Kayenta, and Polacca.
