LDS Stake to present Easter cantata

“I Stand All Amazed”, an Easter cantata by Sally DeFord, will be presented by the Monticello Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 24, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Monticello North LDS Chapel, 347 North 200 West.
The cantata is directed by Cyndi Burtenshaw and features Lorelei Andrews on piano, Barbara Houghton on organ, Kristen Black on violin, and Sue Anderson on flute.
Several soloists will perform, including Jenifer and Mekayla Hellewell, Ellen Nerdin, Laura Butler, Chandalyn Carr, Reid Chapman, Derryl and Clarissa Jack, and Carol Martin.
Organizers invite everyone to come celebrate the Savior’s atonement and resurrection with them through music.
After the performance, the newly-remodeled Monticello Stake Center will be open for the public. The stake center, at 157 South Main in Monticello, recently underwent a $1.5 million remodeling effort that results in ADA accessibility and a new heating and cooling system.
The Monticello First and Third Wards will hold meetings in the stake center beginning on Easter Sunday, April 24. The four Monticello wards have been shoe-horned into the North LDS Chapel during the eight-month remodeling process. Several ward boundary adjustments will take place beginning with the move to the stake center.
