Home entries in Monticello

Monticello police are asking local residents to be vigilant after a rash of home entries. Police chief Kent Adair reports that about six homes may have been entered in the past two months.
He said there have been no break-ins, as doors on the homes were not locked. He adds that no one has reported anything missing.
“Lock your doors,” said Adair, who also asks local residents to report any suspicious activity or home entries by calling 911 as soon as it occurs.
