Blue Mountain Hospital launches TeleHealth partnership with IHC

Blue Mountain Hospital is excited to announce that it now provides an extra level of support to its patients through a telehealth partnership with Intermountain Healthcare.

The TeleHealth Hospitalist Service focuses on caring for patients in unique ways. The comprehensive service is staffed 24/7 by a team of physicians and nurses, and partners with BMH staff for overall care management, consultations, night-time admits, and rounding on patients.

Using TeleHealth technology, including high-definition cameras, audio equipment, and televisions in patient rooms, clinicians at Blue Mountain Hospital can quickly connect with the Hospitalists at Intermountain Healthcare.

These TeleHealth programs allow trained staff and specialists on both ends of the camera to provide seamless, superior care.

In many cases, TeleHealth support may help avoid transfers, keeping patients closer to home and family.

“BMH has enjoyed working with Intermountain Healthcare over the years,” said Chief Executive Officer at Blue Mountain Hospital Jeremy Lyman. “This new telehealth service will complement the other services we have been working on with Intermountain to offer our patients.

“We are excited to improve the services offered locally within the community and believe the positive impact will be substantial for members of our community.”

The partnership with Intermountain Healthcare will not only implement innovative technology to assist in providing superior patient care, it will also address existing challenges such as a need for clinical expertise and support that will allow patients to receive care quickly and continue along their path to recovery without having to leave Blue Mountain Hospital or the surrounding area.
