Glenn Beck is featured speaker at George Wythe funding gala

Glenn Beck, acclaimed author and radio/TV host, will speak at George Wythe University’s fundraising gala on May 30 at the Utah State Capital in Salt Lake City.

George Wythe University, a non-profit university in Cedar City, was founded in 1992 and based on the teaching philosophies of George Wythe, the mentor of Thomas Jefferson. The private university offers a first-class liberal arts education befitting modern-day statesmen.

The fundraising gala to support the university begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Tickets for the event are still available and may be purchased by calling 435/586-6570. Proceeds will benefit the university’s infrastructure and undergraduate program.

The groundbreaking for a new 200-acre campus in Monticello occurred in 2008. To assist students obtain scholarships, loans and grants as well as assist with the transfer of credits and graduate school admissions, the university has been actively pursuing accreditation through the American Academy for Liberal Education.

GWU offers classes on its Cedar City campus, off-site and on-line, and boasts students from across the United States and the world.

Steeped in the classics and offering a unique mentoring program, the university offers a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts & Statesmanship, a Masters of Arts in Education & Political Economy and Ph.D. in Constitutional Law.
