Monticello City Council
I am a true patriot. I don’t believe in our modern revised liberty to acquiesce and cower beneath onerous bureaucracy or suffer the consequences; I believe in the liberty of the revolution, the liberty of Thomas Jefferson, Sam Adams, and George Washington.
It is now beyond the shadow of a doubt to any red-blooded American that that true liberty has been siphoned away by usurping government for hire at the request and for the benefit of international corporations, environmental radicals, global financial elite, political parties, and a host of other nefarious special interest groups.
It is equally excruciatingly obvious that these corrupting influences are so entrenched and so intertwined in our systems of government that no internal correction or refinement can long stave off the impending ruination inherent to a people who no longer live their religion. In short, if we are going to preach freedom we must live free.
To this end I submit my name for election to the Monticello City Council. Here, here in our towns and villages, here in small town rural America the resolve, honor, and fervor still exist to reclaim our liberty. We will not succeed in this great work by rousing speech, by political maneuvering, or even by armed revolution. We will free ourselves by dirty fingernails, bloody knuckles, and aching backs here and now, or we will abandon our posterity to total conquest and sore oppression by some hateful and dishonorable ruthless power, foreign or domestic.
The only way we can win this fight, my friends and countrymen, is through thrift and industry. We’ve got to bring and keep our dollars and talent here at home. Real local economy is the hope of the nation now and it needs to start right here in Monticello.
