Deliciously clean air
One of the great things about living in San Juan is the deliciously clean air we enjoy most of the time. This photo was taken two miles east of Monticello and captures the Lone Cone area of the Rocky Mountains in the San Juan National Forest. Those 14,000-foot peaks are nearly 100 miles away in Western Colorado. How many people east of the Mississippi are ever able to see 100 miles? Been to the Wasatch Front lately? The two million people from Logan to Spanish Fork would kill for air like this, especially in the winter. Don’t be too critical of a little wind occasionally. Don’t feel too bad about not living in the middle of millions of people. What are clean air and pristine views worth anyway? Buckley Jensen photo
