The unfortunate truth of the matter is that the majority of San Juan County Residents simply don't appreciate the places mentioned. In addition, San Juan County is notoriously hostile to those people who do. This makes it not only an unpleasant place to stay while visiting Canyonlands, but also an unpleasant place to think of living while establishing an outfitting business.
