This week, the Business Spotlight is on Young’s Machine Company.
A three-generation, family-owned and operated business, Young’s Machine has been custom designing and manufacturing mining equipment for 56 years. The company was originally founded by brothers Garold (Jack Sr.), Darroll, and Clynn Young. Currently, the company remains in the family and is owned by brothers Jack, Gary, and Steve Young.
Young’s Machine Company manufactures the underground mining equipment; all designed and built from the ground up. Young’s Machine ships its products from Monticello to many places around the world, some as far away as Alaska, Canada, Mexico and Peru (only naming a few).
Young’s Machine relies on their skilled employees to deliver a quality product to their worldwide customer base. Their clients are loyal and growing in number, due to the fact that they have come to know them as a very reputable company that goes above and beyond to serve their customers.
Furthermore, Young’s Machine Company is continuously looking for ways to improve their product for the benefit of their customers. For example, they recently developed an oscillating mechanism, coupled with marsh mellow suspension and air ride, which provides a smoother ride for operators and passengers.
Young’s Machine not only listens to their clients’ requests but customizes the mining equipment to meet their needs. Young’s Machine Company has won several awards, including SBA Exporter of the Year in 1999.
